Darla Guthrie Arthur, born on December 7, 1958, in Morehead City North Carolina, has departed from this world on June 1, 2024. She was known for her versatile career, starting in various salons before transitioning to become a caring companion and aide to many elderly individuals in the community through professional nursing services.

Darla's journey began at West Carteret High School, where she laid the foundation for her future. She later pursued her passion by obtaining an associate's degree in cosmetology from Carteret Community College. Her dedication to her work was evident as she touched the lives of many with her nurturing and compassionate nature.

Those who had the privilege of knowing Darla will remember her as a loving and supportive individual. She adored family gatherings and cherished moments spent with friends. Described as kind-hearted and always ready for a friendly chat, Darla's smile could brighten anyone's day.

She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Arthur; her father, Harrison Guthrie; her mother, Theda Guthrie; her sisters, Vicki Morris and Gayle Noddler; her father-in-law, Douglas Arthur; and her aunt, Adolya Bennett. While Darla may have taken leave from this world, she leaves behind a legacy of love and care that will be eternally cherished.

Darla is survived by her sons Joshua Arthur and Adam Arthur, sister Nanette Lewis, and brother David Guthrie. Their memories of Darla will serve as a testament to the impact she had on their lives and the lives of all those she touched.

Through her warmth and empathy, Darla Guthrie Arthur brought light into the lives of many. Her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
