Bobby Gene Childers, 76, passed away on February 25, 2025, in Morehead City, North Carolina. Born on November 18, 1948, in Taylorsville, North Carolina, he lived a life filled with love, generosity, and devotion to his family and faith.

Bobby was a man of deep Christian faith who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a passion for fishing, traveling, camping, and riding motorcycles—always embracing the freedom of the open road and the beauty of nature. His skill in woodworking was evident in the craftsmanship of his creations, each piece reflecting his patience and dedication. Above all else, Bobby was known for his unwavering kindness and willingness to help others. Whether lending a hand to a friend or offering support to those in need, he embodied selflessness in every aspect of his life.

He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Beverly Guffey Childers. His family meant everything to him, and he cherished the time spent with them. He is survived by his stepdaughter Rhonda Banks and her husband Nicky; his sister Gladys Louise Minton; his brother Waitsel Dean Childers; nephews Jason Childers, Ashley Sweet, Douglas Childers, and Michael Lail; nieces Kimberly Dawn Lail and Tammy Renee Sweet; as well as ten grandchildren who brought him immense joy. His love extended beyond people to his cherished four-legged companions who were always by his side.

Bobby was preceded in death by his father Clint Roy Childers; mother Elsie Mae Hubbard Childers; brother Richard Blake Childers; stepson Barry Shane Norton; and stepdaughter Resia Renee Morris. Though they are no longer here, their memories remained close to his heart.

His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him and serve as a reminder of the kindness and generosity he shared throughout his life.
